Seabourn is extending its flexible booking policy through March 31, the luxury cruise line announced today.

All booking made by March 31, for sailings leaving by Sept. 30, 2022, will be able to be canceled or rebooked up to 30 days prior to departure or within 30 days should someone test positive for or be directly exposed to COVID-19.

Seabourn is offering any guest who falls into one of those categories a 100% future cruise credit equal to the amount of the non-refundable portion of cancellation fees based on payment already received. That credit can be used for any sailing that is booked by and sails within 12 months of the date of issue.

At the same time, Seabourn is revising final payment dates for sailings through May 31 to 60 days from departure.

“One of the biggest ways we can help travel advisors and their clients right now is by recognizing they need flexibility to change their plans or make final payments closer to their voyage,” said Josh Leibowitz, president of Seabourn.

“The extension of our Book with Confidence policy is intended to reassure our guests that they can still commit to a future trip with Seabourn while having some extra peace of mind.”

Seabourn is not the only cruise line to keep its flexible cancellation policy as COVID-19 continues to impact schedules. This past weekend Princess announced a similar move.
