Six Senses To Open Nine Properties in 2018

by Doug Gollan

Six Senses expects to add nine resorts next year, including five lodges in Bhutan.

Additional openings include Cambodia, Bali, Fiji and Turkey, where it has taken over management of Canyon Ranch at Kaplankaya. With the latter, Six Senses will close the property next month and re-open May 1 after renovations.

It currently has 11 properties open in addition to 30 spas.

During a press conference at ILTM Americas at Mayakoba in Riviera Maya, the company announced it also has inked future projects in Ibiza and Northern Brazil and is closing in on deals that will bring the brand to Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico. It also confirmed its previously announced project in the Chelsea area of New York City, although no opening date has been set.

The company is also expanding its focus on families with kids programs at all locations, including special wellness offerings from the young ones as well.
