The Ritz-Carlton Naples Has a New Name

The Ritz-Carlton Naples, one of the most iconic properties on Florida’s Gulf Coast, is getting a new name.

Effectively immediately, the hotel, which has been open for two decades, will be known as The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón.

Tiburón, which means “Shark” in Spanish, also lends its name to a famous Naples golf course designed by Australian Golfer Greg Norman.

The company said the new name reflects “a broader resort experience” on property, including updated guestrooms and suites, expanded culinary offerings, and a new poolside experience. It also includes a new design that will incorporate the surrounding area, including the Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, front, and center.

“The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón has become more than a destination for golfers, and the investments being made towards the future of the resort exemplifies the commitment to our current and future loyal guests,” said Jenny Piccione, General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón.

“This is just the beginning for the exciting future ahead for the resort, as we continue to introduce refreshed spaces and inventive guest experiences, coupled with our legendary service.”

Exterior changes are already underway, and guests can expect a new façade starting in February 2023.

Plans also call for the addition of a new American brasserie restaurant in late 2023, which will offer dining all day along with views of the surrounding golf course and Audubon sanctuary. That joins a previously-announced Latin-American-inspired restaurant called Ria.
