The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas is set to reopen in December 2019, Marriott International announced Friday, more than two years after historic hurricanes slammed parts of the Caribbean island.
The $100 million renovations includes fully reimagined and redesigned public spaces, rooms and suites, event and meeting space, and dining venues inclusive of a new culinary concept.
Situated on 30 acres of cascading grounds, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas will have a refreshed look and feel, introducing a pristine white palette with splashes of color inspired by the sea and a renovated landscape filled with lush tropical plant life. The resort's 180 guestrooms and suites have been entirely reimagined with a bright and airy design that amplifies the natural beauty of the island, all purposefully facing the Bay to offer guests expansive ocean views.
Other property highlights will include a remodeled infinity pool and a new 60-foot catamaran, Lady Lynsey II, offering snorkeling tours, sunset dinner cruises, and island-hopping excursions. A new Sicilian restaurant, Alloro, has been added to the resort as well, featuring a variety of traditional recipes.
