Three Resorts Burned Down In Tennessee Wildfire
by Jessica Montevago /The wildfire that swept through Gatlinburg – a popular tourist town – on Tuesday destroyed three resorts in the area.
A majority of the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa, comprised of more the 100 buildings, was burned down. Only the waterpark, operations and sales buildings remain standing. The resort, one of Westgate’s 24 properties, will be closed until further notice. Reservations through the end of the year have been canceled.
The Black Bear Falls log-cabin rental resort and Ober Gatlinburg amusement park and ski area were also destroyed.
