This week, the Travel Channel launches a new series that follows some of the world’s biggest stars around the globe as they “explore what compels and inspires them."
The first installment of the cable channel’s “Celebrity Adventure Club,” on July 1 at 11 p.m. EST, follows actor Jon Cryer as he embarks on a bucket-list journey. In the premiere, Cryer, an avid space enthusiast, visits Washington, D.C., Houston and Russia. He meets with real-life astronauts at NASA Headquarters, the Johnson Space Center and Russia’s Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center and undergoes the same exercises they endure for their missions.
In Russia Cryer also experiences a celebratory parade with tanks and vodka, explores the busy Moscow streets and dines on local cuisine.
The hour-long program is produced by Emmy award-winning Mark Herzog and Christopher G. Cowen for Herzog & Company.
