Travel Impressions Expands China Tours, Agent Incentives



Travel Impressions Partners With Wendy Wu Tours
Travel Impressions is offering five fully escorted tours to China through a partnership with New York-based Wendy Wu Tours. The upscale tours will stress experiential travel. Travel Impressions is offering an additional 1% commission bonus on all bookings, in addition to a 5% commission on published airfares to China. Also, the agent who books the most trips to China from Aug. 8 to Nov. 30 will receive a free trip for two to China.

Uniworld Adds Six New Ships
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises will add six new ships and several new itineraries to its offerings in 2013 and 2014. In 2013, Uniworld will be the only North American river cruise line offering river cruising along the Po River and Venice Lagoon in Italy. The operator will also launch the luxury Queen Isabel, which will cruise the Douro River in Portugal. The Century Legend and Century Paragon will also cruise the Yangtze in China, while the new River Orchid will travel the Mekong in Vietnam. In Spring 2014, Uniworld will launch two new ships, the S.S. Alexandra and the S.S. Catherine.

Quark Heads to Antarctica
Quark Expeditions announced the details of its 2013-2014 Antarctic season, which features a new floating film festival voyage and new fly-cruise itinerary. The inaugural voyage of the Sea Spirit departs from Buenos Aires for 22-days on Nov. 1, 2013.

Trafalgar Expands Itineraries
Trafalgar’s At Leisure collection is expanding with itineraries in Asia, the South Pacific and the Americas. The new Southern Icons tour visits New Zealand, while the 9-day East Coast Town & Country Retreat takes travelers across the Northeastern U.S. to New York City, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. Agents who book by Aug. 30, 2012, can save $300 per couple on bookings for North American trips and up to $770 per couple on other worldwide At Leisure trips.

YMT Vacation’s Cuba Program Sells Out
The new Cuba, Its People & Culture program from YMT Vacations has sold out sold out one itinerary and booked 300 participants six weeks after the program went on sale. The bookings have been driven primarily by online sources and newspapers, according to YMT Vacations. The program includes eight nights of hotel accommodation in Cuba along with a full-time schedule of educational exchange activities. The program is priced from $2,298 per person and will depart from October 2012 and March 2013.

Pleasant Holidays Adds Hawaii Activities
Pleasant Holidays has added 31 attractions, events and tours to its online offerings in Hawaii. The activities, which are commissionable, can be booked prior to trip departure through Pleasant Holiday’s call center or online portal at PleasantAgent.com. Activities include a Dolphin Swim Adventure, Kauai Eco Adventure, Royal Sunset Dinner Cruise and Atlantis Submarine Tour.

Inkaterra Details New Family Package
Peru’s Inkaterra has launched a new Family Getaway Package that includes stays at the Amazon rainforest and Machu Picchu. Travelers will spend two nights at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica followed by two nights at the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel. The itinerary is available until Nov. 30, 2012, and priced from $1,850 per adult and $700 per child.

Sales Up for Insight Vacations
Insight Vacation’s Winter Europe 2012/13 itineraries have seen a spike in interest from travelers, according to Insight. Itineraries include the nine-day German Christmas Market trip through Germany, priced from $1,725 land only, and the eight-day Vienna, Prague & Budapest with Christmas Markets trip, priced from $1,399 land only. Insight also announced that travelers can save up to $460 per person on their 10 or 12-day Hawaiian Dreams vacations.

Brendan Updates American Vacations
Brendan Vacations has released updated information on its 2013 North & Central America program. Agents who book by Aug. 30 can save up to $300 per couple on any North or Central American trips. New itineraries include the nine-day Canyon Country Jamboree, 10-day Florida’s Sunshine Trail and 11-day New York Zest and New England’s Best.

Victoria Cruises and Travcoa join forces in China
Victoria Cruises has partnered with Travcoa as the exclusive provider of Yangtze River cruises on all of Travcoa’s three China trips. Their exclusive 12-night Legendary China voyage includes stays in Beijing, Xi’an and Shanghai in addition to a three-night cruise aboard the five-star Victoria Jenna.

Wildland Adventures Crafts Wine Tour
The 13-day Argentina Wines and Adventures journey from Wildland Adventures will feature a guided tour of Argentina’s culinary scene from the owners of Arista Wine Cellars of Edmonds, Wash. Priced from $7,295 per person, double occupancy, the voyage takes guests through the Andes to a variety of vineyards and bodegas from March 9 to 21, 2013.

Journese Unveils Hawaii Activities
Journese released its Hawaiian Islands Experiences brochure, which features 42 of the 70-plus activities available to guests. Offerings include ranch experiences, sunset cruises and helicopter excursions.
