Travel Impressions University Comes Online

Travel Impressions this month is launching its online travel agent training program, Travel Impressions University.

The three-chapter online course is part of Travel Impressions’ EducaTIon First initiative. It gives travel agents an in-depth look at the tour operator’s portfolio of offerings, from destinations to services. Graduates will receive LoyalTI First bonus points, marketing materials and exclusive fam trip opportunities.

The course also incorporates social media skills training, including a #WeekendLearning social media series—most recently highlighting five Ritz-Carlton properties in the Caribbean —and interactive webcasts.

Travel Impressions will be kicking off another social media campaign on Facebook on Jan. 9 under the hashtag #Panamania, where travel agents can virtually tag along with communications manager Su-Jit Lin as she tours Panama for real-time insights and selling tips.

The company also will begin beta testing a new reservations system in early 2017. Based on the Quest system, it will integrate the back-office functions of Travel Impressions and Apple Vacations.
