Travel Leaders Group Names J.D. O’Hara President

The Travel Leaders Group has named J.D. O’Hara, a former Carlson Leisure Group executive and current Travel Leaders board member, as its new president, effective immediately.
In the newly created role, O’Hara, who most recently served as a senior partner at Certares Management, will now be responsible for overseeing each distinct division of the Travel Leaders Group, including Nexion, ProTravel International, Travel Leaders Network, Tzell, and more. He will also be responsible for enhancing “the travel advisor and member agency value proposition.”
As a current board member, O’Hara has been heavily involved in many of Travel Leaders Group’s most recent moves, including the purchase of travel management company, Altour, in 2017; and the acquisitions of other international travel brands like Mexico’s Corporate Travel Services, and the U.K.’s Colletts Travel and Barrhead Travel.
In a statement announcing the news, Travel Leaders said that one of O’Hara’s first priorities will be to visit as many Travel Leaders locations as possible.

O’Hara will report to Travel Leaders Group CEO Nian Chacko, CTC.
“J.D.’s significant travel industry experience, intimate knowledge of our brands, and strategic thinking will serve us well as we move into the next chapter of our company’s development,” said Chacko. “He brings to the task not only wide business experience, but a passionate commitment to the success of our travel advisors and member agencies.”
