Travelport, Aeroméxico Expand Relationship
by Michele McDonald /Travelport and Aeroméxico signed a new agreement that “substantially” extends their relationship. The carrier will continue to distribute all of its content through Travelport’s global Travel Commerce Platform, and it also will adopt Travelport’s merchandising technology and digital travel services from MTT, Travelport’s mobile technology business unit.
Aeroméxico plans to launch new, customer-centric iOS and Android apps and other digital travel services.
Mexico leads the Latin American region in terms of both smartphone and tablet penetration. More than 70% of Mexicans are predicted to use smartphones by 2019.
