United Airlines Says Goodbye to the Boeing 747
by Daniel McCarthy /
United Airlines has officially phased out the last Boeing 747 from its international fleet.
On Sunday, United flew its last schedule route on a Boeing 747 when flight 892 from Seoul-Incheon Airport touched down at San Francisco International Airport.
United used the 747 to fly from its San Francisco hub to Asian airports such as Beijing, Tapei, and Seoul. It will now use the Beijing 787-9 Dreamliner to fly those routes. It is also planning to welcome four new Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts in 2018 to add to the 14 it already has.
