Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, the luxury river cruise company, has named Kristian Anderson as its new senior vice president of global sales. Anderson will be responsible for defining and overseeing creative sales development and strategy to help meet the company’s revenue goals.
Most recently Anderson, who will start his new post on Sept. 6, served as senior vice president and general manager at Silversea overseeing the Americas market. He left Silversea in February 2016 after the cruise line named Mark Conroy as managing director for the Americas.
Ellen Bettridge, who was named Uniworld’s new president and CEO earlier this month, had hired Anderson in May 2012 as senior vice president for Silversea when she served as the luxury cruise line’s president-North America, until she departed in January 2014.
Anderson began his career in the airline industry, working 24 years with some of the biggest global airlines in revenue management, commercial administration and sales, including Qatar Airways, South African Airways and Aeromexico.
