Uniworld to Debut New Ship Next Year
Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection will soon have a new addition to its fleet. Uniworld will debut its new super ship, the Joie de Vivre, on the Seine in 2017.
The new ship will accommodate 128 guests in 2 Royal Suites, 8 Junior Suites and 54 staterooms. It will sail Paris and Normandy itineraries and will be built by Red Carnation Hotels, with a French aesthetic in mind—French food, wine, art, and music will all be featured onboard. It will feature a movie theatre and a hydraulic pool, as well as a Salon de Beaux-Arts lounge that will carry fine art and antiques.
There will be two restaurants onboard, Le Restaurant Pigalle and La Cave de Vins. Le Cave de Vins will be designed for private dining and wine-pairing.
The ship’s length—125 meters—means it will be able to dock in Paris instead of being forced to dock outside of the French capital.
