Video Of Myrtle Beach Shooting Goes Viral
by Cheryl Rosen /A shooting that sent seven people to the hospital in "family-friendly" Myrtle Beach, SC, has tourists there on edge. And video, of course, doesn’t help.
“Multiple people down!” said Bubba Hinson, a volunteer firefighter in town for the SC Fire-Rescue Convention, as he live-streamed a video of a shooting on Ocean Boulevard early Sunday morning that went viral, with over 1 million views by Sunday afternoon.
Hinson told the local press he noticed a crowd on Ocean Boulevard and started filming.
“They started fighting,” he said. “Then, they started shooting.”
The shooter fled the scene by carjacking a vehicle, said a release from the Myrtle Beach Police Department.
Seven people were hospitalized with “non-life-threatening injuries,” including the shooter, who was shot by an armed security officer on the scene. The name of the suspect has not yet been released.
