Virgin Voyages Launches Exclusive Travel Advisor Facebook Group
by Daniel McCarthy /
After launching its travel advisor portal earlier this year, Virgin Voyages today announced that it was launching another tool to help its travel advisor partners, or its First Mates as it calls them), “make booking on Virgin Voyages as seamless and enjoyable as possible.”
Virgin has officially launched SeaCiety, a travel-advisor-centric Facebook group to provide education (or “edutainment” as Virgin says) for its partners. The group will only be available to those who have registered on FirstMates.com (advisors will receive an invitation to join the group after registering).
Virgin is calling SeaCiety a “learning community” for its partners, giving them an opportunity to see Virgin’s educational content right in their news feed.
Virgin already has 11 campaigns ready to launch on SeaCiety. The first is called International Waters, an original series produced with Level and Vice Productions that debuts this week. The series stars Ginger Minj from RuPaul’s Drag Race and “features five cast mates on a vintage yacht from the 1920’s in docu-style series.” The video is now live on the SeaCiety page.
Advisors who aren’t yet registered with Virgin can do so on FirstMates.com. Aside from booking capabilities, the website will offer agents marketing and learning materials, including an online education course, called Cabin Fever that aims to introduce agents to the line’s cabins and suites.
