Hahn Air, a Dreieich, Germany-based operator of a universal e-ticketing platform, signed a long term contract with Innovata to provide route maps for all its partner airlines on hahnair.com.

Innovata is a database management and software solutions provider specializing in the aviation and hospitality segments.

The deal will enable travel agencies to view the route maps of 210 carriers on a single Web site with full zoom and panning functionality.

Hahn Air was founded as a regional carrier in 1994, but it quickly evolved into a sort of “hub” to enable airline relationships with travel agencies, BSPs (bill and settlement plan) and other airlines. For example, agents can issue a single e-ticket for two carriers that do not have an interline e-ticket agreement so long as both airlines are members of the Hahn Air network.

Hahn Air no longer flies, although other carriers use its code to fly some services. Instead of flying, it has found a niche in providing services to other airlines, many of which are in the developing world.
