Travelport signed an agreement to distribute products from a technology solutions company that aims to help travel management companies reduce costs and increase productivity in the daily workflow.
Travelport will distribute the products developed by Agency Technology LLC in the U.S. and Canada.
Roots in a Denver TMC
Agency Technology has its roots in Polk Majestic, a Denver-based travel management company that decided in 2006 that available technology to solve agency problems was too expensive, especially for customized solutions.
At the same time, Polk Majestic agents were spending too much time on the minutiae of completing a transaction, so the TMC brought various functions back in-house and began automating repetitive business processes. It developed its technology to work with Travelport, its GDS.
About two years ago, Polk Majestic, a member of the Tzell Travel Group, decided to market its solutions to other Travelport agencies, so it set up Agency Technology.
A variety of solutions
Among its solutions are Unused Ticket Tracking, which is reconciled in real time with the back office; Quality Control and PNR Finishing that is branded for each agency and customized for each client; Automatic Ticketing, including both ARC and non-ARC support with customizable service fee configurations by client and/or booking type; Profile Management, which travelers can use via web interface and is synchronized to multiple online booking tools and the GDS; and Seat Enhancement, which improves seat assignments using multiple preference levels.
