Carnival Cruise Line is hitting the road for a 50th birthday party-themed Agentpalooza bus tour. It’s the third time in its history the line has offered the bus tour, and the first since 2018. Senior vice president of global sales and trade marketing Adolfo Perez will headline the shows, which visit Philadelphia, Baltimore, Norfolk and Charlotte. For the first time, the shows will also be available to travel advisors virtually.

“Travel advisors had to go through a lot over the last two years,” Perez told Travel Market Report. “Especially in the first year and a half or so as we were pausing, restarting, pausing, canceling, rebooking, FCCs. They definitely earned their stripes for having endured. Why not bring something fun? Not only to celebrate our 50th anniversary but to thank them for their unwavering support during this time.”

Agentpalooza will take place between June 1 and 4.  The outdoor festival-style celebrations will be headlined by Perez and cruise director Christian De La Rosa. Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy will make a special appearance in Philadelphia, her home town, to open the celebrations.

During the event Perez and De La Rosa will lead advisors through interactive learning games. Advisors also will get one-on-one time with the line’s sales team.

Snacks and refreshments will be served by local food trucks in a nod to Carnival’s Street Eats dining venue on Mardi Gras.

No further Agentpalooza events are planned for this year, so advisors who are not within driving distance of the four live events can attend virtually. The virtual experience will include a livestream of the on-stage events and many of the same activities.

Advisors at both the live and virtual event will have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes, including Carnival cruise giveaways, bonus Loyalty Rocks! rewards points and Carnival-branded merchandise.

All advisors will also receive a special Carnival booking offer to share with their clients.

In keeping with Carnival tradition, the events will include an opportunity for advisors to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Tour Schedule
June 1, Philadelphia (10 a.m.): Penn’s Landing Waterfront Park

June 2, Baltimore (10 a.m.): Museum of Industry

June 3, Norfolk (10 a.m.):  The Perry Pavilion

June 4, Charlotte (10 a.m.): Symphony Park

The Carnival sales team will travel to each event in an Agentpalooza-themed bus emblazoned with the hashtag motto #TravelAgentsRock.

Registration for both the in-person and virtual events can be found on GoCCL.com.
