In tandem with sister brand Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises is removing the passenger vaccine requirement for most voyages and eliminating pre-cruise testing for vaccinated guests. Unvaccinated guests will need to provide proof of a negative test within three days of sailing.

The new no-vaccination required policy begins September 6 and applies to most voyages of less than 16 days.

“These updated guidelines help ensure a Princess vacation is available to everyone,” said John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises. “The Princess experience is truly one-of-a-kind and we encourage everyone to take a Princess vacation that offers amazing service at unmatched value.”

Itineraries to which the new policy does not apply include those with departure ports in Canada, Greece, and Australia. Additionally, the policy does not apply to full Panama Canal transit sailings, trans-ocean crossings, and other special itineraries. Guests on these sailings will need to take a supervised COVID-19 test within three days of embarkation.

Per the new rules, vaccinated guests will need to upload proof of their vaccination status as part of their online check-in process. Unvaccinated guests or those who do not provide proof of vaccination ahead of time will instead need to upload proof of a negative test before boarding.

Children under 5 years of age do not need to provide proof of vaccination or pre-cruise testing.
