Construction on Aman at Sea’s first-ever luxury motor yacht officially got underway with a keel-laying ceremony at the T.Mariotti shipyard in San Giorgio di Nogaro, Italy.

Present at the ceremony, where the first 200-ton-steel block was lowered, were Jonathan Wilson, CEO of Aman at Seas and Lars Clasen, CEO of Cruise Saudi, along with the CEO of the shipyard. (Aman at Sea is a joint venture with Cruise Saudi.)

“Today signifies a momentous step forward in the development of Aman at Sea and my strategic vision to create a new category of ultra-luxury superyachts, which will provide exceptional travel experiences alongside Aman’s core values of privacy, peace, generosity of space and unparalleled service,” said Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group.

The 600-foot-long yacht will feature 50 suites, each with a private balcony. It will be dual-fuel powered, able to use both marine diesel oil and methanol to run. Onboard features will include two helipads, multiple dining options, an expansive aft Beach Club with direct access to the water, and a spacious Aman Spa, complete with Japanese garden.

The yacht is set to launch in 2027. It’s official name and itineraries are yet to be announced.
