New Opening: Marriott’s AC Hotel Vancouver Waterfront Hotel
by Daniel McCarthy /Vancouver, Washington’s waterfront area has a new offering for visitors.
AC Hotel Vancouver Waterfront, which Marriott says is the “first modern hotel in Vancouver’s emerging Waterfront neighborhood,” is now open. The property is the first hotel at the Port of Vancouver USA’s Terminal 1 development.
The hotel sits in a spot between Mount St. Helens, the Columbia River Gorge, and the Pacific Coast, right on the border of Washington and Oregon. The hotel is not far from Portland International Airport, the University of Portland, and Portland’s downtown area.
In total, the hotel offers 150 guest rooms, including three suites. Each room includes free WiFi, a flexible workspace, and a 55-inch smart TV.
For dining, the hotel offers AC Kitchen, an eatery serving daily European-style breakfast, and the AC Lounge, a space that includes a menu of locally brewed beers and handcraft cocktails, with floor-to-ceilings windows that offers a view of the Columbia River.
Also on site is 11,500 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, also with floor-to-ceiling windows, and the Vancouver Wellness Studio, which is currently in development but expects to open in early fall with a spa and wellness studio.
“We are beyond excited to be part of this vibrant new Waterfront community, which is rapidly becoming the region’s next must-visit lodging and dining destination,” said David Lenke, AC Hotel Vancouver Waterfront general manager.
“We aim to provide a sustainable and stylish way for both business and leisure travelers to immerse themselves in the energy of Vancouver.”
