A&K Travel Group Reorganizes Leadership Team, Appoints Chief Sales Officer
by Dori Saltzman /A&K Travel Group (AKTG) is reorganizing its leadership team to create a “One A&K” strategy that connects both A&K and Crystal. As part of the reorg, the company has created the new role of chief sales officer and promoted Marett Taylor to the position.
Marett will join an AKTG team spearheaded by CEO Cristina Levis that also includes chief marketing officer Peter Chipchase. Levis also serves as the head of Crystal. Former Crystal president recently announced his retirement. He had served three years at the helm of Crystal Cruises before it went out of business and had returned to the role for the cruise line’s relaunch in 2022.
Marett joined Abercrombie & Kent in 2000 and served in sales and marketing roles in East Africa, Southern Africa, and Europe. Since 2013, she has led the U.S. sales team as vice president of sales, supporting travel agency partners and consortia in North America. She will continue to be based in A&K’s office in Illinois, working across both A&K and Crystal.
Also newly promoted is Amy Weyman who has been appointed managing director for A&K USA. She will also continue to serve as executive vice president of marketing for the USA, a position she has held for the past 15 years.
