Luxury tour operator African Travel is hosting a fam trip in Kenya this coming spring. The educational safari, from Apr. 10-19, is designed to give travel agents first-hand destination and product experience.

To help cover the $3,295 fam rate (land and air), African Travel will give agents who book a 2018 brochure itinerary $50 in “safari bucks” per booking to use towards the trip. It can also be used towards the cost of a personal safari vacation with African Travel.

The first stop is Hemingways Nairobi, a small luxury plantation-style hotel, where guestrooms feature expansive vaulted ceilings and balconies overlooking the lawns and Ngong Hills.

This is followed by two nights at the Lewa Safari Camp, a unique and exclusive retreat with 65,000 acres of private protected wilderness. Agents will go on game drives or walks through the grasslands in search of wildlife, like the Grevy zebra and giraffe.

From there, guests spend two nights at Loisaba Tented Camp in Northern Laikipia, where they can enjoy a range of safari activities. The journey concludes with two nights at Sand River Masai Mara Camp, in southwest Kenya. The Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves, is home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, and the great wildebeest migration.

The cost of the trip includes roundtrip economy international flights on KLM from Washington D.C (Dulles) International and all internal flights, seven nights’ accommodation on a share basis, game activities and most meals, transfers, park fees and gratuities. Companions are not permitted.

There is no block-off date to apply. To learn more go here.
