Ahead of the debut of what is expected to be one of the summer’s biggest movies, tour operator Tauck is giving people a chance to get an intimate look at Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley.

Tauck has added a private after-hours tour of Graceland to its Life on the Mississippi cruise tour, an 11-day itinerary that takes guests from Memphis to New Orleans. The tour, which runs from March through May and then September through December, includes an hour-long tour of the estate and grounds during the stop in Memphis.

The tour will allow guests to see the estate, which is a National Historic Landmark, without dealing with crowds—Tauck says that the Estate welcomes more than 4,000 people on peak days second only to the White House as the most visited home in the country—that is only expected to get larger this summer.

Tauck is highlighting the offering ahead of the release of Elvis, the Baz Luhrmann movie that stars Austin Butler and Tom Hanks that will debut on June 24. The movie has already received praise from Elvis’ family, including his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, and his ex-wife, Priscilla Presley.

“Whether you enjoy his music or not, there’s no arguing that Elvis Presley remains an enduring cultural phenomenon and Graceland, his iconic Memphis home, is still an object of popular fascination,” said Tauck CEO Dan Mahar.

“And with Tom Hanks’ new movie opening in theaters in the coming days – and coinciding with the home’s 40th-anniversary celebration – Graceland promises to be more popular than ever. We’re thrilled to provide our guests with an exclusive, after-hours tour at Graceland after the throngs of other visitors have departed for the day.”

Life on the Mississippi runs on Tauck’s American Dutchess riverboat, which sails with 166 passengers on four decks, offering 83 staterooms ranging from 180 to 550 sq. ft.
