Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay will officially reopen beginning June 5.

Universal will conduct a team-member-preview on June 1 and June 2 to provide team members with training on its new procedures.

A limited number of guests will be invited to visit on June 3 and June 4, as Universal continues to prepare for its phased opening. The public opening will be on June 5, with Universal continuing to manage daily attendance.

The theme park received approval of its reopening plan for Governor Ron DeSantis late Friday, as well as Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings.

Among the new guidelines for the park:

-Face coverings: If a guest doesn’t have a face covering, they can buy one at the park

-Temperature checks: Temperatures of all guests will be checked before entering the park, and any guest showing a temperature of 100.4 degrees or more will be turned away.

-Required hand sanitizer: Guests will be required to use hand sanitizer before boarding rides.

-Virtual lines: Some rides and attractions will let guests select a time they want to ride to minimize time waiting in line.

-Staggered seating: There will be staggered spacing on ride vehicles and in lines to maintain social distancing guidelines.

-Staggered parking: Parking will be staggered inside parking garages to help encourage distance between groups

-Cashless payments and no-touch policies: Mobile food and drink ordering will be available through the park's app at some venues

Reopening plans are being finalized for Universal’s resort hotels and details will be released soon.

Universal Orlando has been closed since March 16. Universal CityWalk Orlando began reopening May 14.
