African Travel Inc. has added another fam for its travel advisor partners — the nine-day Rwanda & Gorilla Trekking Educational tour that kicks off on Nov. 3 — to give them the tools they need to sell the tour operator’s Rwanda journeys.

The trip begins with an overnight in Kigali, the capital and largest city in Rwanda. From there, guests will enjoy dinner and a night in Kigali before heading to Nyungwe National Forest to trek habituated chimpanzees and other primates. Then, African Travel will take guests to Volcanoes National Park for a mountain hike and gorilla tracking before heading back to Kigali.

Guests will stay at One & Only Nyungwe House at the edge of the Nyungwe National Forest and at the One & Only Gorilla’s Nest on the foothills of the Virunga Volcano Range.

All accommodations, tours, roundtrip economy airfare from New York’s JFK airport, permits, transfers, park fees, and gratuities are included in the fam.

The deadline for all agents to apply is Aug. 9. Applicants can only be accepted if the trip would be their first time visiting Rwanda and they have completed African Travel University. African Travel also requires a marketing plan be submitted with the application.
