Lufthansa Reaches Deal with Ground Staff

November 30, 2015

Lufthansa has agreed to a new deal with Verdi, the union that represents its airport staff. This eases some tensions for the German airline, which was hit by the longest strike in its history earlier this month.

The deal doesn’t include the UFO, the union for Lufthansa’s cabin crew that struck earlier this month, but does guarantee airport, catering, IT, freight, and maintenance staff for the airline a rise in pay and eases tensions for the airline. The BBC reports the airline will meet with the UFO and Verdi on Wednesday.
