Rail Europe Offers New Incentive, Fam Trip to Swiss Travel Pass Agents

by Maria Lisella

Switzerland Tourism and the Swiss Travel System are offering travel agents and tour operators in the U.S. an opportunity and incentive to increase their sales of Swiss travel products such as the Swiss Travel Pass, by improving and testing their knowledge.

Agents registering to participate, learn and sell, could win an all-expense paid FAM trip to Switzerland and other prizes. The more participating Swiss products agents sell, the more points they earn toward the trip. This is the second year for the program and registration begins April 15, 2019, with the program running May 1 through July 31, 2019.

Eligible agents who want to be considered for the FAM will need to take all three monthly quizzes and every month of the program submit their ticket sales of participating Swiss Travel System products for validation. These include the Swiss Travel Pass/Swiss Travel Pass Flex, Swiss Travel pass e-ticket, Swiss Point-to-Point tickets and Swiss Mountaintop excursions. Six SuperStars from the U.S. and six SuperStars from Canada will win the Grand Prize of a 6-Day/5-Night all expenses paid trip to Switzerland in early December 2019 to celebrate with other Swiss Travel Pass SuperStars from around the world. SuperStar winners are chosen based on a combination of most quiz points and product sales during the promotion period. Points are accrued in various ways including:

  • The quiz score each month equals the points earned for that quiz
  • Sales of Swiss products earn points, pending validation
  • Mountaintop excursion sales earn bonus points
  • Agents who register early, between April 15 and April 30, earn bonus points
