U River Cruises Adds Eddy Mestre as National Director of Sales

U River Cruises has added Eddy Mestre as the line’s new director of national sales, effective immediately. Mestre was named Uniworld’s Global Sales Person of the Year in 2018; and served the former U by Uniworld as BDM, South Florida and the Caribbean.

Mestre will be in charge of enhancing the brand’s commercial efforts with U’s sales, reservations, marketing, and operations departments.

“We’re thrilled that Eddy Mestre will being taking on the new director of national sales role during an exciting period of growth at U River Cruises,” said Kristian Anderson, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection/U River Cruises’ senior vice president of global sales. “We’re confident that his innovative and fresh business approach, along with his proven track record of achievements, will lead the team to great success.”

Before Uniworld and U, Mestre got his start with Carnival Cruise line in 2004. He also worked for Uniworld’s sister brand, Insight Vacations.
