Oceania Cruises Adds Gratuities to Inclusive Pricing, Removes Alcohol and Shore Excursion Credit

Oceania Cruises is transitioning away from its “simply MORE” value pricing to a new “Your World Included” package that both adds and removes key amenities. The new plan goes into effect for all sailings starting on or after Jan. 1, 2025, except for those booked on or before Sept. 30, 2024. These bookings will have the “simply MORE package.

Newly included in the “Your World Included” fare will be crew gratuities, which are currently between $18 and $23 per person, per day depending on cabin category.

However, two key “simply MORE” inclusions will be removed: the complimentary beverage package and shore excursion credit.

Still included in the “Your World Included” packaging will be specialty dining, sodas and juices, specialty coffees and teas, still and sparkling water, unlimited Wi-Fi, laundry services, group fitness classes, and fruit smoothies and gelato.  

According to the cruise line the change is a result of guest feedback, which most frequently included a request for gratuities to be included in the fare.

“Oceania Cruises’ promise to show our guests Your World, Your Way has been at the heart of our business since we launched more than 20 years ago,” said Frank A. Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises. “The change has come following feedback from guests, highlighting that they would prefer that we include amenities valued by all versus amenities valued by some.”

He added, “Not surprisingly, our guests place the greatest value on our core inclusions such as free specialty dining and free Wi-Fi; including gratuities creates the richest possible array of amenities and benefits for our guests globally.”

The updated inclusions begin for all new reservations on sailings departing on or after Jan. 1, 2025 when booked on or after Oct. 1, 2024. Cruisers who book before Oct. 1 will still receive the “simply MORE” offering.
