Queen Anne Begins Maiden Voyage in Southampton

Cunard’s new ship, Queen Anne, arrives at her home port of Southampton for the first time on April 30, 2024. Queen Anne is the fourth ship to join the Cunard fleet and the 249th to sail under the Cunard flag.

Queen Anne, the 249th ship to sail the Cunard flag and fourth in its current fleet, arrived in its home port of Southampton on April 30.

The luxury cruise ship left Venice on April 19 and departs on Friday, May 3 for its maiden voyage to Lisbon after a naming ceremony.

“Queen Anne is in a place where it’s really celebrating the history of the brand and brings that to life,” Matt Gleaves, Cunard’s vice president of commercial in North America, told TMR. “There are some new experiences to take the brand forward whilst retaining that Cunard feel and history that’s important to the brand.”

This is Cunard’s first new ship in 14 years and the first time since 1999 that Cunard has had four ships in service. It holds 3,000 passengers, has Cunard’s largest spa on board, and adds more variety to its dining options.
