The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection officially welcomed its newest superyacht to the fleet during a naming ceremony last week in Fort Lauderdale.
The 448-guest Ilma is the second vessel for the company. It debuted earlier this fall in the Mediterranean. Like its sister-ship Evrima, Ilma boats suites with floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces, multiple dining and bar venues, and some of the highest space-to-guest and employee-to-guest ratios at sea. Highlights on board Ilma include dining concepts by Michelin-starred restaurant chefs Fabio Trabocchi and Michael Mina, an extensive marine and Marina Terrace, and The Ritz-Carlton Spa.
“The christening of Ilma marks a significant moment in our journey, as we officially welcome this extraordinary yacht into our fleet,” said Jim Murren, executive chairman and CEO of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. “Ilma represents growth and the exciting future of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. “We are incredibly grateful to all those who have worked tirelessly to bring this beautiful yacht to life…”
The naming ceremony was attended by The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection senior executives, employees from the company’s Fort Lauderdale office, local officials, and others. A group of “female leaders” from the company – both shipboard and shoreside – collectively served as the Ilma’s godmothers.
For the 2024/25 winter season, Ilma joins Evrima in the Caribbean, then in summer 2025 the ship moves to Northern Europe, marking the company’s first itineraries in the North and Baltic Seas.
