Hyatt Announces Plans for Two New Hotels in Saudi Arabia
by Daniel McCarthy /Hyatt is further committing to Saudi Arabia with the addition of two new hotels in Jaumur, one of several planned communities for the country’s upcoming NEOM district.
The Park Hyatt Jaumur and the Andaz Jaumur Marina will both open in 2027, adding 350 luxury hotel rooms and suites to Jaumur, NEOM. NEOM is a planned community, currently under construction in northwest Saudi Arabia, that is part of the government’s Vision 2030.
Saudi Arabia is building the communities from the bottom up, aiming to have a network of connective cities, ports, and enterprise zones that will attract tourists and businesses when they open. Jaumur is just one of 12 individual outposts part of NEOM.
The Park Hyatt, 125 rooms, will overlook the Jaumur marina, while the Andaz, 225 rooms, will celebrate the area’s art of creativity, Hyatt said. Both hotels are seen as future anchors of Jaumur, which will offer travelers both an active vacation (hiking, cycling, and water sports) and a luxury vacation (beaches, art galleries, and yacht clubs).
“We are delighted to bring the Park Hyatt and Andaz brands to Jaumur, part of NEOM’s regional sustainable tourism portfolio, and further enhance the tourism landscape in NEOM. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a key market in Hyatt’s growth strategy in the Middle East, and these upcoming properties in NEOM reflect our dedication to expanding our brand footprint,” Javier Águila, group president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hyatt said.
