Hyatt has announced its plans to open several new luxury properties across Asia Pacific over the next two years, including three new Park Hyatt hotels. Openings in Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, and Phu Quoc signal the brand’s continued focus on key urban centers and high-growth resort destinations.
Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is slated to open in August 2025, occupying the top floors of Merdeka 118, which is currently the tallest building in Asia Pacific. Interiors will incorporate locally inspired design elements, and the property will feature the city’s first chocolate-themed rooftop bar.
Meanwhile, the revered Park Hyatt Tokyo will reopen in late 2025 following a 17-month renovation aligned with the hotel’s 30th anniversary. The update will preserve the property’s original aesthetic while upgrading guest rooms, shared spaces, and dining venues. The New York Grill & Bar, one of the hotel’s signature restaurants, will return to its original layout.
In early 2026, Hyatt will open Park Hyatt Phu Quoc, its first resort under the brand in Vietnam. The property will span 160 acres of beachfront and forested hillside, with 65 villas, a lakeside spa, multiple dining outlets, and an on-site organic farm.
Hyatt is also introducing additional lifestyle brands across the region. Thompson Shanghai Expo will mark the Asia Pacific debut of the Thompson Hotels brand, while new Andaz properties are in the pipeline for Bangkok, Shanghai, and the Gold Coast.
