Hyatt Hacked
Hyatt has joined the ranks of hotel companies hit by hackers, announcing that it has discovered malware “on computers that operate the payment processing systems for Hyatt-managed locations.”
The company said it has taken measures to counteract the breach, but didn’t reveal the extent of the damage or give any details.
Hilton, Starwood, and Trump hotels have all been hit this year. They have acknowledged that customers who made purchases on their properties—but not their reservation systems—are at risk, and advised travelers to keep an eye on their credit-card statements.
