United Airlines today revealed new details about its upcoming Polaris Studio suites, which will debut on the airline’s new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
The suites will be located in the first row of each business class cabin and are expected to launch on 787-9s delivered to United by the end of the year. Each aircraft will feature eight of the upgraded suites, along with 56 United Polaris business class suites, followed by United’s Premium Plus cabin.
The Polaris Studio suites offer lie-flat, all-aisle-access seats that are 25% larger than United’s standard Polaris seats. They are enclosed with privacy doors and include an additional ottoman for companion seating.
Inside each suite, guests will find upgraded amenity kits, wireless charging, and a 25-inch 4K OLED seatback screen—the largest among any U.S. airline—with Bluetooth connectivity. Aside from access to all that, guests in the suites also receive upgraded meal service that includes an Ossetra caviar amuse-bouche service.
The first international routes for the new 787-9s are scheduled for 2026, flying from San Francisco to both Singapore and London. United plans to add about 30 of these aircraft to its fleet by 2027.
