by Daniel McCarthy /The first passenger ship to sail for Royal Caribbean was called Song of Norway. The ship entered service in 1970 and was lengthened to add more cabins and expand capacity in 1978. After sailing for Royal and then being sold to other brands including Sun Cruises, the ship was eventually sold for scrap in 2013 and broken up in 2014, after serving its last years as a gambling ship.
