Travel Edge Completes Two-Day Virtual Event
by Daniel McCarthy /Travel Edge successfully completed its two-day virtual conference LIMTLESS late last month, hosting both travel advisors and its partners as the organization continues to deal with the impact from COVID-19.
Over 250 of Travel Edge’s advisors attended the session, which included tours of American Airlines’ newly renovated LAX lounge, a demonstration from a Crystal Cruises’ chef, and a talk from Delta’s famed pilot Peter Weber. Originally, Travel Edge had planned an in-person event in Toronto built around the Toronto International Film Festival, but shifted to virtual as COVID-19 continued to impact travel.
Michael Johnson, executive vice president of Travel Edge, said that it was an important milestone for the organization, to be able to show its advisors “the appreciation from our travel partners and community.”
“We didn’t ask a thing of our suppliers, other than that they offer prizes directly for the advisors,” Johnson said (over $25,000 was given away to Travel Edge advisors).
“This virtual conference was designed to provide Travel Edge advisors with an opportunity to learn from industry experts, connect with the community, and explore the latest in travel.”
