Avalon Waterways will add another all-suite ship to its fleet in Southeast Asia for cruises sailing the Mekong River in 2018.

The Avalon Saigon, which will be built next year, features 18 cabins with open-air balconies and floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. There’s also a main lounge, a dining room, a spa treatment room and a fitness room.

The Avalon Saigon joins the Avalon Myanmar and Avalon Siem Reap, which have been sailing in the region since 2014. Each holds a maximum of 36 guests – a size that allows Avalon to sail narrow passageways available only to smaller vessels.

The ships will sail a new itinerary in 2018, an 18-day Heart of Cambodia & Vietnam, that cruises the Mekong River through Cambodia and Vietnam.

Travel agents booking a 2018 river cruise to Southeast Asia now can save up to $2,000 per couple; the single supplement also will be waived on select departures.
