Bahamas’ Grand Isle Resort Partners with Tourism Cares for Hurricane Relief

While the Grand Isle Resort & Spa in Great Exuma made it through Hurricane Irma unscathed – along with Bahamas' famous swimming pigs – it is pitching in to help those not as fortunate.
Grand Isle partnered with Tourism Cares and will be donating 15% of all reservations made until Nov. 30, for stays between Sept. 29 and Mar. 21, 2018, to the Caribbean Tourism Recovery Fund. The fund focuses on rebuilding the tourism sector and leveraging resources to help the region’s economic recovery.
“Our hearts break over the catastrophic loss from hurricane Irma… we want to help support and rebuild the Caribbean,” general manager Sandra Grisham-Clothier said.
The property reopened Friday after its previously scheduled season closure.
