Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Delays Reopening

The reopening of Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort has been delayed until Nov. 18, 2020, due to “unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.”
Unique Vacations Ltd., an affiliate of the worldwide representative for Sandals and Beaches Resorts, announced the news to travel partners in an email on Friday.
The property, located on the island of Providenciales, was scheduled to reopen on Oct. 14.
“We recognize the direct impact this has on you and your clients travel plans and we apologize in advance,” Senior Vice President of Sales Gary Sadler wrote, adding that the company will be calling advisors directly and is “fully committed to making this process as effortless as possible.”
Sadler said several flexible options have been set up for guests, including the ability to modify their upcoming reservation at sister resort, Beaches Negril in Jamaica, at no additional cost. As an added courtesy, the company will cover any related airline change fees for impacted guests.
The Turks and Caicos Islands began welcoming international visitors July 22. Visitors are required to apply for a travel authorization prior to their trip onth e TCI Assured Travel Authorization portal. A COVID-19 PCR test must be completed 5 days prior to the intended date of arrival into the country by all travelers.
