Crystal Cruises will add three expedition ships to its fleet by 2021, instead of the one originally announced, and upgrade its two ocean ships—Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony—over the next two years, the company said this week.
But it will push back its new series of 1,000-passenger luxury ships from the originally schedule in 2018 by four years, to 2022.
Crystal is in the midst of the largest expansion in its history, including the addition of a Boeing 777 for Crystal AirCruises. Its plans for the other aspects of its expansion—including six new river ships—remain on track.
