Cunard is upgrading the cocktail selection at the cocktail bars on all Cunard Queens. Each new cocktail is crafted and inspired by one of Cunard’s past knighted commodores.
One cocktail, the “'Punch Romain à la Carpathia,” was inspired by Sir Arthur Rostron, the captain of the RMS Carpathia when it rescued survivors of the RMS Titanic after it struck an iceberg in 1912. It is believed to the be last drink served aboard the Titanic.
The “Over the Top,” meanwhile, is a sharing cocktail inspired by Commodore Sir James Charles, known for throwing extravagant parties on his Cunard sailings.
The drinks are a way for Cunard to honor its history, which boasts more knighthoods (seven) among its captains than any other cruise line.
