Empress Of The Seas Cancels Seven More Sailings
by Daniel McCarthy /
For the second time in as many months, Royal Caribbean International is postponing the return of the Empress of the Seas from drydock because “more significant infrastructure and physical improvements” are needed.
Last month it canceled six sailings in March and April. Now it is cancelling seven more because the ship’s galleys have to be fully replaced.
Customers booked on the March 30, April 4, April 7, April 11, April 16, and April 21 sailings who rebook on a different Royal cruise will receive full refunds plus a 100% future cruise credit. Those on the April 25 or April 30 sailings who do not rebook will receive a full refund and a future cruise credit of 50% of the fare paid.
All other guests scheduled to sail in May will get an onboard credit if they rebook on another Royal sailing.
