Ensemble Members Report Strong Sales in 2014
Ensemble Travel Group members in both the U.S. and Canada expect a 72% increase in overall bookings this year over 2013, according to Ensemble Insights, the group's annual survey of its members. The findings were released during the group's annual conference that's being held through Wednesday in Palm Springs. Members forecast an even stronger showing for 2015 with 84% saying they expect an increase in sales for that year over 2014. More than 500 Ensemble agents, managers and owners responded to the survey which was conducted earlier this month.
"The results [of the survey] indicate we've finally turned the corner and the economic downturn is behind us as nearly two-thirds [of members] indicated that business is returning to pre-recession--that is, prior to 2008--levels based on their 2015 bookings to date," said Libbie Rice, Ensemble co-president. "That's great news and a long time in coming."
Ensemble also announced the launch of its fully-rebuilt consumer website, www.ensembletravel.com. The site features search engine optimization and a greater call to action for travelers to connect with Ensemble member agents. An agency locator and search function is based on proximity, travel style, travel interest, and/or destination.
