Group Attacks Ryanair for Brussels Policy
A group of 27 women from Liverpool, U.K., are protesting Ryanair’s refusal to refund their bag fees or rebook them during the lockdown in Brussels.
The group, made up of mostly women over 60, had booked a trip to celebrate a birthday and then tried to cancel when the city declared a state of emergency. The group told the Liverpool Echo that the airline had refused a refund and then refused to give them a credit towards a future flight.
Ryanair’s standard flight change terms and conditions say that all payments “for flights operated by ourselves (incl. all monies paid for optional services provided by ourselves) are non-refundable” and that because its service to Brussels was operating as normal, the terms still applied.
