Homeland Security Calls Out TSA
Recent tests at eight different large airports across the country produced the test results were “disappointing and troubling” results, Department of Homeland Security's Office of Inspector General John Roth testified at a meeting of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform today.
Roth did not mention specifics of the failures, other than to say they “included failures in technology, failures in TSA procedures and human error.” But he noted that they were consistently bad across all eight airports.
Though the results were worrying, the TSA has reportedly developed and implemented an immediate plan of action to correct the problems.
