Hong Kong Disneyland will spend $1.4 billion on a new development plan, including Frozen and Marvel-themed areas.
Set in the kingdom of Arendelle, the new Frozen-themed land will include rides, dining, shopping and entertainment based on the animated film’s characters and stories. It’s slated to open in 2020.
The 11-year-old theme park also will get a Marvel Super Heroes area to complement the new Iron Man Experience opening Jan. 11, 2017. The multi-sensory attraction has guests ride alongside Iron Man as he battles Hydra.
Other highlights include a transformed castle and hub area and a Disney Explorers Lodge resort hotel, opening in the first half of 2017.
