InterContinental Hotels Updates Designs, Adds In-Room Keurigs
The InterContinental Hotels Group, whose brands include Candlewood Suites, Holiday Inn, and Staybridge Suites, held its annual owners conference in San Francisco this week. Here are some of the highlights:
- Holiday Inn will introduce changes to its guestroom design and its food and beverage offerings, including a welcome nook in rooms, a new King Bed with Comfort Hideaway room-type, a moveable desk, and five points of power throughout the room.
- Staybridge Suites is introducing a new room design specifically for urban markets. To make the best use of space, it will remove the standard desk hutch and replace it with a built-in cubby.
- Beginning in 2016, all Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties will feature in-room Keurig brewers.
