Spotlight On St. Kitt’s Koi Resort

Visitors to St. Kitts and Nevis in 2022 will have an almost-brand-new luxury option to choose from—the Koi Resort.

The property had a soft opening in 2020 and was met with rave reviews, including a mention as one of the most affordable Caribbean resorts for spring break by Buzzfeed. Shortly after, it was forced to close because of the pandemic and only reopened in January 2022.

The resort is part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, a soft brand from Hilton that focuses on upscale and unique hotels around the world, and allows independent hotels and resorts to operate as part of that Hilton ecosystem.

The St. Kitts property came from Koi Hospitality Group, which started with a restaurant in Los Angeles in 2002 and expanded to other international cities before entering the hospitality space with the resort.

Named after the Japanese word for “love,” Koi Resort offers 102-rooms on an oceanfront haven on the shores of St. Kitts along Half Moon Bay. Its location is just a few minutes drive away from St. Kitts & Nevis International Airport, Fortress National Park, and adjacent to the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club, which makes it a great choice for golf groups or golf-centric travelers looking for a Caribbean getaway, too.

Each guestroom includes plush furnishings with neutral tones, along with floor-to-ceiling windows that lead out to terraces, serving up panoramic views of the ocean, the golf course, or the nearby mountain range. All rooms also boast soothing rain showers and bathtubs.

Elsewhere on the property, Koi offers a full-service pool terrace overlooking the ocean, a gym, and the Kaya spa that offers a menu of body treatments, massages, and facials. Guests can also take advantage of water sports such as catamaran sailing or snorkeling at Dieppe Bay Beach.

The resort’s dining options are highlighted by the Koi Restaurant, a signature restaurant from Koi Hospitality Group, which features Asian-influenced design and Japanese-inspired cuisine including some signature sushi rolls. The two others on the property are the Jaya Kitchen & Cocktails eatery, a poolside bar with beach-inspired entrees, and the Jaya Ultra Lounge, a vibrant cocktail lounge with a menu of customized craft cocktails and locally-sourced Caribbean rum.
